Outpatient Surgery
Perfectly attuned technology = highest level of sterility in protected operating areas
In March 2018, the newly constructed Summit Clinic in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, was opened – a modern outpatient day hospital with two operating theatres and three recovery stations. The operating theatres are fully equipped and technologically up-to-date. Surgical interventions can be carried out in an outpatient capacity and patients can return home on the same day after a short period of observation.
ADMECO AREA OT Concept
The two new operating theatres of the Summit Clinic were planned and constructed as ADMECO AREA concept OT’s, as per the applicable guideline SWKI VA 105-01:2015. ADMECO ULD 32/26 energy-efficient recirculation air ceiling systems with 6 fans and integrated dry recirculation cooling, air guiding skirts type “cabin”, indirect operating field LED lighting for minimal electricity usage, air-stream optimised LED surgical lights and individually configured media supply bridges are connected to each other with millimetre accuracy and without any gaps.
Attentive care in the recovery room
The new recovery room is directly adjoined to the operating block. “Not only can patients receive better aftercare due to the proximity of the recovery room to the operating theatres, but the short routes also create an optimum exchange between the disciplines,” says Cristiano Benini, Sales Manager of ADMECO AG. “All recovery stations are equipped with ergonomic ADMECO media supply bridges. The ability to freely position all devices and outlets simplifies handling and supports the optimal care of the patient.”
Protection Grade Measurements are the only measurements that evaluate the effect of LFT air ceiling systems under the influence of surgical lights. Surgical lights with an unfavourable geometry disturb the flow and produce significantly worse results.
The recirculation air ceilings in both new operating theatres, tested for their protective effect using Protection Grade Measurement, received the highest result of Protection Grade 5.0, both with and without surgical lights.
