Company
30 years of experience – From the idea to the finished concept
Even when it was set up in 1984, ADMECO was the only company in Europe developing and producing concepts for operating theatres. The first germ-stop systems were introduced to operating theatres in Switzerland. Only ony year later, the first energy supply bridges were installed in two cardiac operating theatre of Zurich University Hospital . 1984 also saw the beginnings of the development of airstream optimised surgical lights. In contrast with its competitors, ADMECO has always focused on concepts for operating theatres in their entirety; this is one reason for the company’s global success. Even today, ADMECO remains the only company in the world to offer complete solutions of OT concepts.
The first OT ventilation and air-conditioning systems launched under the ADMECO brand in 1984 were laminar-flow booths. These days, the company’s product range is known as one of the most comprehensive in the industry: low-turbulence unidirectional airflow ceilings for OTs and preparation rooms, energy supply bridges for state-of-the-art operating theatres, recovery rooms and intensive care units and airstream optimised surgical lights with little space requirement under airflow ceilings.
With the AREA complete OT concept, ADMECO combines ventilation technology (clean air system), light (surgical lights) and energy (media supply bridges) with millimetre accuracy and meets the highest requirements of hospitals and private medical surgeries in terms of hygiene and infection protection.
