SCHAKO from Kolbingen has acquired ADMECO AG from Switzerland retroactively from the start of 2020. “The acquisition of ADMECO is fully in line with the strategy of the SCHAKO Group and will in future enable us to offer individual and complete solutions in the hospital sector, such as for operating theatres, recovery rooms and intensive care units,“ underlines Beat Vögeli, CEO of the SCHAKO Group. “By acquiring ADMECO, the SCHAKO Group is significantly expanding both its skills and product portfolio,” continues CEO Vögeli. The two companies have agreed not to disclose the costs of the takeover.

ADMECO (www.admeco.ch) is a market and technology leader in its industry segment and successfully sells its products and systems in the Swiss and German markets as well as internationally. ADMECO was founded in 1984. ADMECO has been developing, producing and distributing systems and products for state-of-the-art operating theatres, recovery rooms and intensive care units for more than 35 years. ADMECO’s special OT concept was developed with the sole objective of improving sterility – and therefore patient safety – during operations, as the highest standards of sterility and thus the reduction of post-operative infection risks in the operating theatre can only be guaranteed by optimally coordinated and reliable technology.

ADMECO has repeatedly set new standards through the continuous new and further development of state-of-the-art design solutions. Many innovations that are now standard in operating theatres were first introduced by ADMECO – such as airflow-optimised surgical lights, media supply bridges and LTF outlets with differential distributors. Thousands of ADMECO customers across the world benefit today from the wide product range for operations and doctors’ surgeries and individualised services.
